ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Gensia Sicor Inc.: The Irvine pharmaceutical company said it incurred a net loss of $3.3 million, or 4 cents a share, for the third quarter, compared with a net loss of $10.1 million, or 13 cents a share, for the 1997 third quarter. The results last year included a restructuring charge of $3.2 million related to the consolidation of the company’s corporate offices in Irvine, and employee severance costs. Revenue was up 5% to $43.5 million from $41.5 million.
