The Army has decided to boost from $40,000 to $50,000 the maximum education benefit available under the Army College Fund and the Montgomery G.I. Bill, officials in Washington said. The change is immediate. The Army has also decided to provide a $3,000 sign-up bonus to every qualified applicant who reports to training by May 1999.
