NORTH AMERICA SYNDICATE

Margo takes Blaze to the Luna restaurant, where she introduces him to John, an actor friend who does commercials. John explains that he’s been plugging away at acting for 20 years.

“Are you willing to do that, Blaze?” Margo asks.

“I’d do anything for my acting career! Well, OK . . . not ‘anything,’ ” Blaze says.

“Glad to hear it,” John says. “The casting couch can do more harm than good.”

John tells Blaze that he owes Margo a favor and trusts her judgment that Blaze has talent. So, he’s going to do Blaze a favor.

“Wow! Are you recommending me for a commercial, John? Getting me an audition with your agent?” Blaze asks.

“No,” John says. “But I’ll set up a meeting for you with an influential VIP.”
