Select Software Tools PLC, which has dual headquarters in Irvine and England, said Tuesday that its chief executive and chairman of the board has resigned, the second top-level departure at the company in about three months.

Company officials declined to comment on Stuart Frost’s departure, or whether it was tied to a corporate refocusing that had been announced earlier this year. Board member Bernard Fisher, who has been interim chief financial officer for the company since March, has been named CEO. A chairman has not been named, company officials said.

Fellow board member John Moy has been named vice president and CFO of the company.

In August, Ed Holt resigned as president when the company announced a corporate realignment and said it will cut costs by about 20%.
