EARNINGS

* Irvine-based HomeBase Inc. reported third-quarter net income of $7.2 million, or 17 cents a share, compared with last year’s $6 million, or 16 cents, excluding charges. Sales declined to $360.1 million with one fewer store, from $368.4 million a year ago.
