EARNINGS
* Pomona-based Hot Topic Inc. reported a 57% increase in third-quarter net income of $1.8 million, or 36 cents a share, compared with $1.1 million, or 23 cents, a year ago. Sales rose 53%, to $28.7 million from $18.8 million a year ago.
