Washington Mutual Inc. said it will list its shares on the NYSE, leaving the Nasdaq Stock Market, as the largest savings and loan in the U.S. seeks to make its shares available to more investors. Seattle-based Washington Mutual will begin trading on the NYSE under the symbol WM on Dec. 9.

TRW Inc., the largest maker of automotive air bags, said it formed a joint venture with closely held Mexican Industries to make side-impact air bags for Ford Motor Co. The venture, called Aguirre Safety Technologies, is 53%-owned by Mexican Industries, a company founded by former Detroit Tiger pitcher Hank Aguirre. TRW owns the rest. TRW declined to specify its investment in the venture. The air bag systems are being made in Detroit, where Mexican Industries is based.
