University to Offer Art Workshops for Children

Cal State Long Beach is urging children to enroll in a series of art workshops that will teach 5- to 15-year-olds the basics of drawing, painting, ceramics and printmaking.
As well as creating their own art, students will learn about art history and how to judge other people’s art.
The university will hold the workshops each Saturday from Oct. 10 to Oct. 31. The classes will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m., and parents who wait for their children can enjoy a free art workshop for themselves.
