3 Inmates Hurt in Racial Brawl at Private Prison
ADELANTO —
Three inmates were hospitalized after a brawl Thursday between black and Latino prisoners at a small private prison, authorities said.
No weapons were found and no staff members were injured, a prison spokesman said.
The three injured prisoners were taken to hospitals in Victorvile. Their injuries did not appear to be serious, the spokesman said.
Authorities received a 911 call from inside the Maranatha Private Corrections prison about 6:20 p.m. The prison appeared to be secure by 7:45 p.m.
