From Times Wire Reports

The leading figure in Mongolia’s 1990 pro-democracy movement has been assassinated, a presidential spokesman said. Sanjaasuregiin Zorig, acting minister for infrastructure in the ruling Democratic Coalition, was killed when two men wearing masks forced their way into his home, tied up his wife and then stabbed him to death when he returned, an official source said. Politics, not money, was the motive, the source said. Zorig was at the center of Mongolia’s 1990 democratic revolution that ended seven decades of Stalinist rule.
