Betty Eisenstein of Washington won her third national singles title of 1998, taking the National Senior Women’s 75 title, defeating Dodo Cheney, 6-0, 6-3, at the Newport Beach Tennis Club. Einstein also won the clay and indoor titles and will attempt to win a “75 Grand Slam” at the grass court championships next month.
Palo Alto’s Ada Cowan won the 65 division, defeating defending champion Mary Boswell of Damascus, Md., 6-2, 6-3.
