Seeing Hong Kong in 90 Minutes
Airline passengers with a short layover in Hong Kong can take a 90-minute whirlwind tour of the city for about $17 per person. To take the “Transit Bus Tour,” visitors catch the Airport Express Line railway at the new Chek Lap Kok Airport for a 20-minute ride to the new Kowloon Station. From there, they take a tour bus that stops at the Wong Tai Sin temple, the Kowloon Walled City Park and the New World Centre shopping area.
Buses leave Kowloon Station every 45 minutes from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. The cost includes a taped commentary, a guidebook and return to the airport. To book, go to Commercial Kiosk 4A of the Tai Fung Coach Co. at the airport’s arrivals area. Information: 011-852-2186-6883 or 011-852-2881-8888.
