He Doesn’t Bring Her Flowers Anymore, but He Remembers

Tony Stypinski wrote that he thought Joe DiMaggio had paid for a rose to be kept next to Marilyn Monroe’s crypt “forever” (Letters, Aug. 30). While DiMaggio originally paid for such floral arrangements, he discontinued the practice in 1982 upon learning that fans were stealing his flowers. He now donates the money to charity.
