Cleanup Day Is Planned Saturday

SATICOY — Ventura County sheriff’s deputies are asking Saticoy residents to participate in a community cleanup day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The event will begin at Saticoy Park at Clavel and Violeta streets. Volunteers will remove graffiti, pick up trash, pull weeds and do yard work.
A barbecue is planned after the event for volunteers. Sheriff’s officials decided to hold the cleanup day after residents came up with the idea during recent community workshops.
