Women’s Forum Will Cover Health, Violence

A free women’s health conference with panels discussing domestic violence and cancer will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. today at Santa Ana College, 1530 W. 17th St.

Other workshop issues include nutrition and exercise, mental and spiritual health, child abuse, prenatal care and communicable diseases.

Exhibitors include: the American Cancer Society, Cal-OPTIMA, the Orange County Health Care Agency AIDS Outreach, Girl Scout Council of Orange, Human Options, Huntington Beach, Community Clinic, Orange County Child Abuse Prevention and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Society.

Susana Sandoval, extended opportunities programs and services director for the college, said this conference will allow women to access the resources they need for healthier lives.

“Women will become educated on issues that impact their personal health and the health of their families,” she said.
