The Cypress Senior Center will host a Health and Wellness Fair on Thursday.

Just in time for flu season, free flu vaccinations will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis for seniors at least 60 years old and adults with serious medical conditions and chronic diseases. Vaccines will be given until 2 p.m., or until supplies are exhausted.

The clinic is co-sponsored by Cypress Recreation and Park District, and La Palma Intercommunity and Martin Luther hospitals.

The fair will also feature free health screenings for those 50 and older. Screenings will include cholesterol, diabetes, hearing, vision, blood pressure and body-fat tests. They will also include massages and acupressure demonstrations and prescription medication and nutrition counseling.
