Students to Collect Supplies for Navajos
Members of Orange Coast College’s Native American Student Organization will collect food, blankets and clothing for the Navajo Reservation in Chinle, Ariz.
The college will accept donations through Nov. 25.
On Thanksgiving, students will deliver the goods via caravan.
Among the supplies needed are new and used clothing, toiletries, school supplies, new toys and sports equipment, nonperishable canned food items and books.
There’s also a call during the holiday season for blankets, warm clothing, jackets, mittens, hats and socks.
Donations are being accepted at the college life office at OCC, 2701 Fairview Road.
