Suspect in Slaying Held on Theft Charge
A woman suspected in the shooting death of her former roommate in Topanga Canyon has been arrested on unrelated theft charges, authorities said Friday.
Christina Marie White, 32, was arrested late Wednesday in Palmdale, said Deputy Larry Stinson of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators have been seeking to interview White in connection with the slaying of 29-year-old Peter Paul, a construction company owner and aspiring actor.
Paul’s body was found Sept. 31 in a shallow grave in Topanga Canyon behind the home he once shared with White.
White, who has used the aliases Timi Vaughn and Tia Williams, was also being sought on charges stemming from the alleged theft of $800,000 from two former employers.
She was being held at the sheriff’s Pico Rivera station.
