Lantronix Acquires German Company

Lantronix, an Irvine-based supplier of networking equipment, said it acquired a German manufacturer of thin servers for industrial applications, broadening the company’s product line of network-enabling equipment.

The acquisition of ProNET GmbH of Schwenningen gives Lantronix technology, products and distribution in Europe, as well as a large variety of products that help in networking automation equipment.

Terms of the sale weren’t disclosed. Both companies are privately held.
