Ahmanson Ranch

Let’s stop the development of the Ahmanson Ranch in the San Fernando Valley. I live adjacent to the area of Victory and Valley Circle boulevards. The incredible usage of diesel-powered equipment (confirmed to expel carcinogens into the air), and increase in traffic (thousands of vehicles daily) after the development is completed will destroy the residential environment we have so long sought.

This project guarantees a diminishing effect on the safety of our children while playing in and crossing streets. Air and soil pollution will catapult as a result of having to move approximately 70 Rose Bowls worth of dirt to excavate. The local natural wildlife habitat that shelters many endangered species will become extinct.

Write to your congressional representative, county supervisor, mayor and the chief executive officer of Washington Mutual (owner of the Ahmanson Ranch land) and demand to be heard. Demand an end to this disaster waiting to happen. Save our surroundings!
