London Visitor Center on the Move

The British Visitor Center near Piccadilly Circus in London has hopped across the street and opened some new services. The old center was at 10-12 Lower Regent St.; the new one is at 1 Regent St., about a block from Piccadilly.
Scotland’s tourist board now provides information at the center, and Stanfords map-and-travel bookshop in London’s Covent Garden has opened up a branch there, with maps and guidebooks. Also a first: You can wire or receive money via Western Union from anywhere in the world.
The new center continues to provide a money exchange, theater tickets via Edwards & Edwards, and Thomas Cook booking services for lodging, transportation and tours. It is open 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Information: tel. (800) 462-2748. .
