Advanstar Communications Names General Manager
Mike Webster has been named vice president and general manager of the motor vehicle group, international art group and entertainment marketing group for Advanstar Communications in Santa Ana. Webster, who joined the company in 1982, had most recently been general manager of the motor vehicle group. Advanstar Communications publishes business magazines, produces exhibitions and conferences and provides direct marketing, database and reference products and services.

William Quimby has joined IPNet Solutions Inc. in Newport Beach as vice president of sales. Previously, Quimby was vice president of Western region sales for Infinium Software.

Rick Cabral has been named vice president of information services for Autobytel.com Inc., an Irvine-based Internet car-buying service. Cabral is responsible for all projects within the company’s Information Technology department, including Web site development, database applications and extranets. He was most recently senior manager, application development at AST Computer.

Henry Tileston has been named vice president, national sales manager for the leasing division of Eldorado Bank in Tustin. For the past year, he has had credit responsibilities at Eldorado Bank, dba Commerce Security Bank in Sacramento, and marketing responsibilities in Laguna Hills. His prior experience includes positions with Ford Motor Credit Co., Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Co. and L.M. Ericsson.

Robert Cosmai has been named vice president of sales for Hyundai Motor America in Fountain Valley. Cosmai will be responsible for all sales and dealer operations in the United States market. He joined the company from the Acura division of American Honda Motor Co., where he was vice president of sales.

Jim Moilanen has been named vice president of Sullivan & Curtis, a risk management insurance brokerage in Irvine. He was previously with Willis Corroon Corp. in Santa Ana.

Andrew Brick has been appointed senior vice president of Newport Beach-based Pacific Investment Management Co.’s Singapore office. He had been director at Caspian Securities in Hong Kong.

Bob Williams has joined MonierLifetile LLC, an Irvine manufacturer of concrete roof tile, as director of reroof sales. He previously spent 18 years with General Electric in consumer electronics and major appliances.

Toni Lansing has been named development director for Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. She had been development director for the Los Angeles Mission, and before that, worked for Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.

John D. Jenkins has been named managing director and counsel for Decision Strategies Fairfax International’s new Orange County office in Irvine. Jenkins, formerly with Kroll Associates, has practiced law in Southern California for more than a decade. Decision Strategies is an investigative and security consulting firm.

Charles Chenes has been appointed senior vice president in the Irvine office of Lee Hecht Harrison and will oversee the senior business program. Chenes was previously president and chief executive of Clean Room Products Corp. in New York. In addition, Kevin Francis was named vice president of business development. He was formerly district sales manager for State Chemical.
