Anaheim City Council

* SEX-ORIENTED BUSINESSES: The council will consider an ordinance to amend various sections of the city’s code relating to adult businesses. The changes being proposed would ensure prompt review of business permits that have been denied and provide an accelerated administrative review so that contested cases could get to court more quickly.

The council also will consider adopting an ordinance approving a five-year franchise agreement with cable providers Century Valley Cable Corp. and Century Communications Corp.

* When: Tuesday, 5 p.m.

* Where: Council chambers, City Hall, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd.

* Information: (714) 765-5166

Irvine City Council

* SKATE PARK PROPOSAL: The council will consider designating Harvard Community Athletic Park, which is undergoing an expansion, as a skate park. Some residents of nearby Walnut Village are opposed to the plan. Residents also objected to a previous plan to put a skate park in the city yard at Oak Canyon and Sand Canyon Avenue.
