The Costa Mesa insurance company, feeling the impact of Hurricane Georges as well as storms in the Midwest and Southeast earlier this year, said it lost $1.2 million, or 10 cents a share, for the third quarter, contrasted with net income of $4 million, or 33 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue rose 3% to $60.4 million from $58.9 million.
