Education Center to Offer Free Computer Resources
A new, state-of-the-art technology lab and development center is open for free use by neighbors every Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Run by the county office of education, the North Area Complex Education Center offers free use of computers, printers, copiers and scanners.
Free computer and Internet training will be offered. A 40-seat meeting and professional training facility also will be available for public use.
The new community services were created through a collaboration between the county and Phoenix Academy, a 150-bed drug treatment center for teenagers.
The land use permit for the Phoenix House required it to set aside a portion of its office space for community use, said Phoenix House spokeswoman Sue Cornick.
The center is at 11610 Eldridge Ave.
