Park Play Structure to Be Dedicated
A new playground structure complete with slides, cubby holes, bars and crawl space will be unveiled and officially dedicated next week at Warring Park in Piru.
Ventura County Supervisor Kathy Long and students from Piru Elementary School will attend a 2 p.m. ribbon-cutting Wednesday that will be open to the public. The park is on Orchard Street.
The new play structure consists of a crawl tube with spy holes, a solar system panel, a 360-degree spiral slide with a canopy, a curved tot slide, a crazy climber, a mega-dome and a mini arch bridge.
The apparatus is accessible to physically challenged kids.
Funding for the playground came from the county’s Community Development Block Grant program.
