From Times Wire Reports

A surrogate mother lost her discrimination lawsuit against the bank that fired her in 1996 after a Morris County Superior Court jury found her termination did not stem from the bank’s disapproval of her pregnancy. Roxanne Cook, 40, of Hopatcong, N.J., alleged that First Morris Bank fired her because bank officials were worried that her surrogate pregnancy might offend the bank’s conservative clientele. The bank said Cook was fired on suspicions of stealing and insurance fraud.
