Bergen Stock Up 10%

Bergen Brunswig Corp.’s stock rose 10.1% Wednesday on an analyst’s bullish report on the Orange-based drug wholesaler.
Analyst Richard R. Vietor at Merrill Lynch & Co. revised his estimates of the company’s earnings to $2.48 a share in 1999 from $2.35.
The stock rose $3.75 a share to $40.75 on the New York Stock Exchange. A total of 744,000 shares changed hands, compared with an average daily volume of 435,772 shares over the last three months.
