First American Buys Sister Companies

First American Financial Corp. of Santa Ana said Thursday that it acquired Executive Reporting Services Inc. and its sister company, CreditNet Communications Inc., both of Portland, Ore., for stock. Terms weren’t disclosed.
The two companies being acquired provide risk management and automated credit reporting products. First American is the nation’s largest title insurer and also provides other real estate-related and information services.
