CHERRY HILL, N.J. —
A rabbi who had long been the sole suspect in his wife’s bludgeoning death four years ago was charged Thursday with arranging her murder.
Rabbi Fred J. Neulander, 57, was charged with accomplice murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the 1994 slaying of his 52-year-old wife, Carol, who was found beaten to death on the couple’s living room floor.
Neulander’s attorney, Jeffrey Zucker, entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. Bail was set at $400,000 for the jailed rabbi.
