Share

EOS Corp. in Camarillo has been chosen to power a new line of touch-screen point-of-sale terminals produced by Scan Corp. of Brandon, Fla.

The contract calls for EOS to deliver several thousand VLT60 Jaguar 60-watt internal power supplies to Scan over the next few months. The power supply will be used in Scan’s new family of terminals and workstations designed for retail sales, fast food, industrial, fine dining and sports facilities.

With this deal, EOS has topped $1 million in Jaguar power supply sales to point-of-sale product manufacturers since it was introduced last May, and more than $4 million in sales to all market segments.

“The acceptance among the worldwide electronics market, primarily point-of-sale, data networking, and telecommunications product makers, is very encouraging and exciting for our company,” said Jim Schultz, EOS executive vice president. “The order from Scan underscores the value and competitive advantage our small and efficient power supplies offer the point-of-sale market.”

EOS was recently cited by big five accounting firm Deloitte & Touche as one of the fastest growing high-technology firms in Southern California.
