RealNetworks Shares Climb on Intel Pact

RealNetworks Inc. shares leaped after the company said it will license technology for speeding video delivery through the Internet from Intel Corp. RealNetworks rose $4.88 to close at $24.50 on Nasdaq. Intel shares fell 88 cents to close at $85.06, also on Nasdaq. The firms said Intel will license its Streaming Web video software for RealNetworks’ RealSystem G2 product. Intel also will work with RealNetworks to promote and market the technology, which will help improve the speed of video and audio when accessed through the Internet.
