More than 600 historic racing cars will battle for the No. 1 position at Chrysler’s third annual Motor Trend Thunder Road Races this weekend at the Tustin Marine Corps Air Facility.

Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros, Formula Fords, Indy cars and many others will compete on a 2.2-mile track “custom-built to guarantee high speed and lots of passing,” according to organizers.

The event will include a children’s midway with carnival rides, a Championship Kart Challenge, more than 250 vendors and a display of futuristic cars.
