SBA to Honor Minority Small-Business Person

The Small Business Administration will honor Pasadena entrepreneur Lawrence Barraza as minority small-business person of the year at a ceremony Oct. 15.
Barraza and Richard Weeks, now company vice president, launched Symvionics in 1988. The engineering services firm develops flight simulators and other defense-related products. The award marks the agency’s 12th annual Minority Enterprise Development Week.
