Farmers Market to Shut Down for a Year

The Brea Farmers Market will close for a year after marking its season finale today with a customer appreciation day, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the city community center.

The market will reopen next fall when its permanent downtown location on Birch Street is completed. Today’s activities include ongoing raffles, entertainment, free balloons and a drawing for a VCR.

Shoppers also will be asked about when, in terms of day and time, they want the new and improved Farmers Market to take place next year.
