First Lady Blasts Actions by Congress

First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton criticized Congress for dividing the nation and ignoring important issues, such as education, as she toured a 75-year-old elementary school in Sheridan, Colo. “Congress doesn’t have time to deal with the important issues that confront our country,” she said. “They’d rather spend their time dividing our country . . . doing anything but focusing on the real problems of America.” She ignored protesters carrying signs outside Fort Logan Elementary School, where 90% of the students receive low-income lunch subsidies.
