Charlotte Innes refers to Oprah Winfrey as “one of the most influential African American women in the world” (“Her Object of Devotion,” Sept. 13).
Winfrey is certainly one of the world’s most influential people (Vanity Fair lists her as the 17th mightiest power of the Information Age in the world!).
By the way, Winfrey, in the article, referred to herself as black.
