Sunstone Hotel Properties Names Senior VP
* Douglas C. Sutten has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Sunstone Hotel Properties Inc. in San Clemente, which manages 57 hotels. He had been vice president, finance for Westin Hotels & Resorts Inc.
* Curt Christianssen has been appointed senior vice president, corporate development for Eldorado Bancshares Inc., the parent company of Tustin-based Eldorado Bank. His new role will focus on investor relations and evaluation of strategic acquisitions. Christianssen had been chief financial officer for the bank and the parent company. In addition, John Gordon has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Eldorado Bank; he also will serve as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Eldorado Bancshares.
* David L. Ball has been appointed vice president of development for CT Realty Corp. in Newport Beach. Before joining the company, he was president of development for IDM Corp. in Long Beach.
* Clay T. Whitehead has joined the board of directors of GTC Telecom in Costa Mesa. He is president of Clay Whitehead Associates, a strategic consulting and business development company. Before that, Whitehead was special assistant to President Nixon, with policy responsibility for NASA, the Atomic Energy Commission and the National Science Foundation. From 1971 to 1974 he was director of the U.S. Office of Telecommunications Policy. From 1979 to 1983, Whitehead founded and was president of Hughes Communications Inc., a subsidiary of Hughes Aircraft Co.
* James Norton has been named director of the development group of Western National Group in Irvine, a real estate company. Norton was previously a project manager for land development for Richmond American Homes.
* Amy Corsinita has joined Gladstone International, an Irvine public relations firm, as account coordinator. She was formerly with the Arboretum at Flagstaff in Arizona.
* Boba Popovic has been appointed director of engineering for Camintonn Corp., an Irvine manufacturer of computer memory products. Before joining the company in 1990, he was with the Yugoslavian Institute of Physics and the Electronics Institute of Technology.
* Greg Remy has been named product manager for Flex-Foot Inc. in Aliso Viejo. Remy was a product manager at Hycor Biomedical Inc. in Irvine for the last two years, and before that he was with Hybritech Inc. in San Diego.
* Alain Jourdier has been appointed vice president of marketing and communications for St. Joseph Health System, Southern California region. He had been director of marketing at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton. Succeeding him in that position is Judith Milan, who was assistant director of marketing.
* Jeff Smith has been appointed to the newly created position of president of the Houston division of Standard Pacific Corp., a Costa Mesa-based home-building company. He was president of Village Builders in Houston.
* Neil Schloss has joined Platinum Capital Group in Irvine as chief technology officer. He most recently was director of information systems at New Century Financial Corp.
* Randy Halle has been appointed president of Management Action Programs, a Newport Beach management consulting firm. Halle has been with the company 22 years.
* Jason R. Harris has been named project director of Burke Real Estate Group in Santa Ana. He will oversee day-to-day activities for industrial development projects in Ventura County and surrounding areas. Before joining the company, Harris was a project manager for Granitex Construction Co. in Newport Beach.
* Michelle Pickering has been appointed senior sales manager for the Doubletree Hotel Anaheim/Orange County. She joined the hotel two years ago as corporate sales manager.
