Gish Biomedical Reports a Loss

Gish Biomedical Inc., an Irvine manufacturer of disposable surgical products, reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $1.6 million, or 46 cents a share, which included a one-time charge of $827,000 related to discontinuation of its EZ Flow infusion pump. A year ago, the company posted a net loss of $1.8 million, or 54 cents a share. Sales for the quarter ended June 30 declined 2% to $5.2 million from $5.3 million.

For the year, Gish posted a net loss of $2 million, or 59 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $1.9 million, or 57 cents a share, for the prior year. Sales were down 4% to $20.3 million from $21.1 million.
