“The Orange County community has a tradition of giving generously to help people reeling from the impact of major disasters like Hurricane Georges,” said Bob Wenzel, chairman of the Orange County chapter of the American Red Cross.

More than 64,000 families have been affected by the disaster in Puerto Rico, where initial estimates indicate that the Red Cross relief efforts may soar to more than $16 million.
