Spring Renewal Service, Baseball Talk on Tap in Mission Viejo

The Orange County Buddhist Church will celebrate the birth date of Gautama Buddha during services at 10 a.m. (in English) and 1:30 p.m. (in Japanese) Sunday. There will be a Gautama Buddha carnival bazaar from 2 to 9 p.m. next Saturday and from 2 to 8:30 p.m. next Sunday. The event will feature a food bazaar, cultural exhibits and a stage show. Lonnie Hall, manager of information technologies training at Mission Fellowship’s headquarters at Redlands, will speak during Covenant Presbyterian Church’s Kirk night at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Mariners South Coast Church’s Minnie Street Learning Center and the city of Santa Ana will co-host a Sabado de Gloria street fair from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Sabado de Gloria is the Hispanic holiday honoring Christ’s resurrection. Festivities will include live music, dancing, drama, games and messages in Cambodian and Spanish by local pastors. St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church will begin its new singles discussion series, “The Relationship Focus,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Congregation B’nai Israel expects completion of a new 10,000-square-foot building this summer.
