*** Jason Falkner, “Can You Still Feel?” Elektra. Falkner (who opens for Mercury Reve Rey Tuesday) is a pop polymath with an appealingly skewed frame of reference. On his second album, he plays virtually every instrument and overdubs every vocal, creating color-saturated set pieces that wed the baroque song structures of ‘60s pop to synth-driven sonics that are equal parts Rick Springfield and Todd Rundgren. Mostly gorgeous, sometimes irritatingly arch, but nearly always enchanting.
