Apparent Search for Atheist Boosted
The FBI moved in additional heavy equipment as part of its search of a sprawling Camp Wood, Texas, ranch, apparently looking for clues to the 1995 disappearance of atheist leader Madalyn Murray O’Hair, her son and a granddaughter. The FBI has been close-mouthed about the search, which began Friday with the execution of a federal search warrant at the 5,000-acre Cooksy Ranch. An agent would not confirm that the search was related to the O’Hair case. However, Tom Vinger, a spokesman for the state Department of Public Safety, said that the O’Hair case is the focus.
