Free Obedience Training for Dogs Offered by City

Share

City animal shelters in the San Fernando Valley and other areas of Los Angeles will offer free dog training seminars beginning this month.

The two-hour seminars, to be held monthly at different shelters, will provide tips on dog behavioral problems, such as housebreaking, jumping and interacting with children.

L.A. Animal Services and New Leash on Life, an animal rescue group, organized the classes to address the dog attacks in the city that have occurred recently, especially those involving pit bulls.

Animal trainer Bobby Dorafshar, of New Leash on Life, will conduct the seminars through December.

The first session in the Valley will be Saturday at the West Valley Shelter in Chatsworth.
