Hidden Inflation

Share

We’re delighted to see someone at last addressing the issue of hidden inflation (Voices, March 27). It’s even more insidious than Martin Rubin describes, though: Think, for instance, of the many products we purchase that are selling for the same price but which contain less inside the package--less soap flakes, less toilet paper, a smaller candy bar--examples could go on and on. This is inflation, though in a form we are not accustomed to calling by that name.
