Younger Gotti Pleads Guilty

John A. “Junior” Gotti, the son and alleged successor of America’s best-known Mafioso, pleaded guilty in White Plains, N.Y., to racketeering, bribery, extortion and other charges in exchange for a seven-year prison term. The plea was entered the day before jury selection was to have begun in his federal trial. Gotti was charged with taking part in a criminal enterprise known as the Gambino family and with extortion, robbery, loan-sharking, gambling and bribery. Sentencing was set for July 8.
