A Christian activist, cited for blocking the pier with a table in January, made a deal with the city last week: He’ll preach on wheels. “I can place a desk in the area as long as it’s on wheels,” said Philip Holt, 42. He received a $26 fine Jan. 3 for obstructing a public right-of-way when he arranged a 2-by-4-foot table with a banner saying “Nothing but the blood of Jesus” in front of Pier Plaza. City officials agreed to dismiss the charge if Holt no longer impedes pedestrian traffic or emergency vehicles, Deputy City Atty. Sarah Lazarus said.
