Beginning this week, the Glassell Street offramp of the westbound Garden Grove Freeway will be closed for seven months. The closure is part of a $118-million improvement project for the Costa Mesa Freeway that began in January, Caltrans said. When completed, the Glassell Street offramp will have an auxiliary exit lane to smooth traffic flow through the Garden Grove-Costa Mesa interchange. Drivers will be detoured to the Main Street exit, where they will turn right on La Veta Avenue and continue east to Glassell Street.
