Magazine Names Lachnit Managing Editor

Carroll Lachnit has been named managing editor of Orange Coast magazine in Newport Beach. Lachnit has been a freelance writer for several publications, including the Los Angeles Times, for the past six years.

From 1984 to 1992, she was a staff writer at the Orange County Register. She also is the author of three published novels. Lachnit succeeds Sharon Chan, who moved to Seattle.
