Marriage Workshop

A six-week workshop for couples who are seriously dating but are not yet engaged begins at 6 p.m. Sunday1 at Coast Hills Community Church in Aliso Viejo.

Dubbed “Before You Pop the Question,” the $75-per-person class aims to provide couples with information they need to make the decision to marry.

Ron Bacon, a licensed marriage and family counselor, leads the class. He has seen firsthand how difficult it is for couples to make marriages work.

“We are not going to tell people whether or not to get married,” Bacon said. “Couples are able to predict with greater certainty the major issues likely to arise in a possible marriage together. Our belief is that relationships begun with both eyes open are more likely to succeed than those based on a ‘love is blind’ mind-set.”
